Sandy Hughes Arts Sandy Hughes was born in Victoria, B.C. and moved to Vancouver in 1986. A registered nurse of twenty years, was artistically inspired while studying fashion design at Helen Lefeaux school. As a self-taught artist, she works primarily in oil, acrylic and mixed media on canvas. Her work reveals a passion for color and movement in nature, and the human form.
