Update: We are pulling in the data now for web stats but its time consuming and may be weeks before its all caught up, we do have a process to do it per domain upon request, if you want us to pull in your web stats please email for what domain to This email address is being protected from spambots. . When we are all caught up it will be automated to update nightly.
Although the trend these days is to use services like Google Analytics or Yahoo! Analytics for getting statistics about your web sites, they can't tell you everything that the web server's logs can (or vice versa). There is still a strong need for a decent web log analyzer.

Unfortunately, programs like Webalizer, AWStats, Analog, and others are quite old and most are barely maintained. I've been looking for alternatives we could offer our customers, but even the newest log file analyzers out there aren't all that great (or they are outrageously priced). So I've written my own...
Over the past few weeks I've put together the first draft of a new web stats package and it is now available for our customers to take for a spin. There is no configuration or installation required, you just have to log into the helpdesk and click on the "web site statistics" option in the menu or control panel.
Please note: this is considered BETA at this point. The numbers you'll see in there are accurate, but as I type this I only have a couple of days' worth of log files processed. I'm processing more, working backwards in time, and as I do the reports will flesh out. But it may also be necessary for me to periodically wipe out the stats and reprocess the log files as I make changes or add metrics, etc.
Please take a look and let me know what you think.

Thanks!

Mark, Excuse my ignorance. I'm not sure where to find the link you note in your post about your new web stats package {quote "...you just have to log into the helpdesk and click on the 'web site statistics' option in the menu or control panel."
I've logged into your site but cannot see anything on there that takes me there under your Help drop-down menu.
I suppose I haven't 'logged into the helpdesk' correctly.
\Thanks in advance,
Rod Deacon

Thank you so much for this! This is just what I have been looking for -- last week I was trying to find out where all my bandwidth was going -- and I have 20G/month set aside - and last month I blew passed it without a clue why - with some awesome tips from the Islandnet team, I have it figured out - this new tool allows me, at a glance, to keep an eye on things.
Bravo!
